Educational qualification :The minimum educational qualification will be 10th pass or ITI or equivalent.
selection :
The selection will consist of Physical Efficiency Test (PET). Those found fit in the PET will have to appear in aWRITTEN EXAMINATION.
Pay scale : Rs 5,200-20,200 having Grade Pay of Rs.1, 800
Application fees : The examination fee for Unreserved and OBC candidates is Rs.40/- (Rupees Forty Only). Candidates belonging to SC/ST, Women, Minority community candidates and Economical weaker sections are fully exempted from payment of examination fees

South Western Railway was created by amalgamating the reorganized Hubli division from South Central Railway with Bangalore & Mysore divisions of Southern Railway. This railway has become operational from 1st of April, 2003 with its head quarter at Hubli in the state of Karnataka.
The zone encompasses railway routes passing through Karnataka and parts of Tamilnadu, Andhra Pradesh, Goa & Maharashtra.
